OR-T 200 of Orgapack as a predecessor of the OR-T 250
Orgapack OR-T 200 battery-powered strapping tool
Orgapack OR-T 200 is the predecessor of Orgapack OR-T 250. Other suppliers like Strapex call this battery-powered strapping tool STB 63, Signode® calls it BXT-16, or Cyklop CMT 200 etc. - but actually it is one the colour being different. This tool is no longer produced - but as so many tools are in the market, there are still plenty of tools available. LINDER Seevetal for example takes old OR-T 200 tools back from clients who want to invest in the new OR-T 250 model, exchanges used against new parts and sells it as overhauled tools at interesting prices with 6 month warranty for used tools.
Orgapack OR-T 200 battery-powered strapping tool
Unlike the Orgapack OR-T 250 model, OR-T 200 gets its power from a NiCd instead of a lithium ion battery. Hence, users have to make sure that the battery is always fully charged and subsequently discharged in order to avoid a memory effect. The motor is not brushless as it is the case for the OR-T 250 and its tension force is with 2,000 also a bit lower. Furthermore, OR-T 200 can only be used in a manual mode - hence, a soft tensioning function or a fully-automatic mode is not available. Despite those disadvantages, Orgapack's OR-T 200 is very popular as most additional functions of OR-T 250 are not necessarily required by all users and its price is by far lower than the one for OR-T 250. Used OR-T 200 are available for less than € 1,300,-- and can be found here
